Guys, this is another great reason of why to change your mind and ATTEND THE RALLY! Let's force CNN to put us on their screens and laugh in Lou Dobbs' face! We can at least reply to his lies in a forceful yet peaceful and educated way (something he isn't!)
One thing I don't understand is how come this guy used the words bastard, communist china(all the time),cheap labor for computer programmers and he is so full of himself. Why does he have problem if US borrows flights from russia to transport vehicle?
Guess this guy needs serious help and be instutionalized for a very long time.

Applying for a Canadian tourist visa with AP (no H-1), would this be a problem? Would we get the Canadian visa for only the validity of AP (one yr at most)?

I am in H1B and more than five years. My employer is a mid size
private Indian company. They start bringing more and more L1B
people and post them in client location. Their LCA is for 55K and they
are paid only 30K even though the billing is in three digit. All the
accomodation, per diem are paid by the client. We are into one of
the XXX product and there is no custom product from our company.
Whats the best way to deal with this guys. Whom should send I the
complaint about this. What they are doing is a complete violation
of law.
So please guide and share you experience.
P.S. If you dont have any information, please stay away. Do not
start the H1 vs L1, Anti-immis troll alert. Thanks for your
understanding. This has nothing to do with the L1 employees.
Dear Friend I totally agree with you. I was with one of these employers and have moved away from them. As suggested by some members you can report about these fraudulent activities to DOL. I know it is dufficult to leave these employers as they make the employees to sign bonds and try to capture all the money that they have acquired in PF etc back in the native country.
These employers are to be blamed for the current economy condition of this country and the condition of immigrants like us.
I know there are some members in this forum who will try to shout you down and make you quite.
But I feel if one believe in what is right then one should go ahead irrespective of what others think.

Hello Guys,
I was wondering if any one of you have any estimated time for FP notice from TSC?
My 485 ND is August 27 from TSC (case originally filed at NSC on July 2nd which later got transferred to TSC) but haven't received any FP notice yet. Is TSC slower in issuing FP notice?
Also, I believe that it may depend upon the ASC office situation as well. I am from NJ so may be Newark ASC must be "overbooked" now for FP.
Any ideas? Thanks.

SA 4319 is not being considered so far. It is not quoted anywhere except IV website. Because CIR is ruled out for 2010 any pro or anti immigrant bill will not be considered most likely. This is just fear that SA 4319 will be attached to any other bill. The chance of passing this bill is 1% without CIR. But with CIR there is 80% chance of attaching with CIR.

just got my Labor approved a couple week ago and now i want to file I-140 premium processing. But my lawyer's not allow me to do that coz once my I-140 approve i can't file my 8 th year extension. My 7th years H1B will expire on Aug 30, 2007.
I'm very confused now, on my understanding once i get my I-140 approve, i'm eligible to get my H1B 3 years extension.
FYI: i chose CP opotion, is that make me not eligible to get my H1B extension once my I-140 approve?

the topic of discussion will be - how to get illegals a greencard in a quick/fair manner. Any discussion of legal non-immigrants and pains they have to go through in the current EB2/EB3/Visa stamp topics will be considered taboo.
It's sad but inevitable. Illegals are potentially in a better position to get greencard than legals like us.

Last week I had the unfortunate experience of being "let go". This is my current situation:
EB-2 India PD July 2008
I-140 approved in April 2009
Currently on 7th year of my H1-B which is valid till May 2013.
Now the question I have is, if I were to transfer my H1-B visa to some other company (non consulting fulltime role), will I get an additional 3 years extension, i.e., till Oct 2013 or will it be only till May 2013?
Greatly appreciate any thoughts here. Thanks!

OK. mystery solved. The IIO from TSC I spoke today, said everything is in order, and perhaps there was an inputting error. I'm relieved, and yes, my case is preadjudicated.

When My immigration came through, my family and I all flew down by air, stamped ourselves as Landed Immigrants and then came back to states.
You will have to give somebody's address at the airport and also apply for your PR card before you come back to states. Once you get your PR card then you are free to travel even by road passing the border post otherwise without the PR card you will have to apply for a visa every time you go to Canada. The PR card will be posted to the that somebody's house so that person can post it to the US. I am a landed immigrant since Feb 2005 but still live in states.
To maintain the PR status you have to be the country for 2 years.

The reason you did not get an approval with I-94 is that it seems your current status is valid only till May and I am not sure if your attorney included the documents (I-20) mentioning that you will be enrolled in Kaplan from June - Oct......USCIS wont approve a H1 with I-94 if you do not show evidence that you have valid status till Oct 1st.....

I think I am not going to put a fight with the department handling my immigration. I may have to go for stamping though because they may not be willing to renew AP every year as a valid visa will save then from trouble (only trouble for me). Everyone is trying to cut short on expenditure.
